Terms & Conditions
Due to hygiene reasons hosiery items that are opened are, strictly, non-returnable. Opened returns will only be accepted if the item has a fault, at first opening of the item. Return postage is not refundable, unless item has a fault, or you have received the wrong item.
Faults must be notified to us as soon as possible (within 28 days of order) and must be a genuine fault. Hosiery is delicate; to get the maximum wear please put on slowly and carefully to avoid laddering. We cannot accept responsibility for laddering, snags or tears made by the customer.
The business owner, including subsidiaries and affiliates, provides the information in this business, also referred to as ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’, to Visitors viewing or purchasing products from this business, also referred to as ‘you’ or ‘your’.
In this agreement:
"Carrier" means any business or person instructed by us to carry Goods from us to you, whether all or part of the distance.
"Our Business" means the entire company legal name: essexy legs hosiery.
"Goods" mean any Goods that are offered for sale, by us, essexy legs hosiery.
"Content" means information in any form published on the essexee legs website by us or, with our consent, by any third party.
In our contract with you these terms and conditions apply:
All prices are reflected in GBP (including Europe and the rest of the world). VAT is inclusive on all of the hosiery items that are for sale on the Essexee Legs website. Postage is payable on all orders unless special offers or discounts are in place at different times, those of which will be detailed on our website.
Delivery times are subject to variation and approximate time is 2-5 working days UK only (orders received before 3.30pm Monday-Friday will normally be despatched same day, depending on stock availability and volume of orders that day). Orders received after this time will be processed the next working day. Essexee Legs has no control over the time Royal Mail takes to make deliveries, and Europe and Rest of World deliveries will be longer.
Sometimes goods advertised may be temporarily out of stock or not available anymore. We will endeavour wherever possible to obtain the item for you. If this is impossible we will offer you alternatives, and inform you by email, before we despatch your order.
In this situation you can accept the alternatives we offer, leave the order valid omitting the out of stock-unavailable item, or cancel your order.
When you have placed an order, acceptance will be confirmed by email shortly after receipt and that is when your order begins to be processed, and our contract is made.
Essexee Legs Hosiery is under no obligation to accept your order, but would normally do so where the product is available and your payment is approved.
Goods on the essexee legs website are described as accurately as possible. Every care is taken with descriptions although errors may occur. Therefore, any such description shall not form part of this agreement.
On occasion slight variation to the product shown may occur, but we continually strive to improve our products and give as clear descriptions as possible.
If money is owed to you (for any reason), we will credit your credit card, debit cardor paypal acc. as soon as is possible, but please be aware that this can take a maximum of 30 days from the date of order.
Our terms may be subject to change, but trading terms that are stated on the date of your order will apply to you.
All items are delivered in plain packaging.
Price and Payment:
All orders via essexee legs are completed safely and securely with your credit card or debit card.
Full payment for the total order must be received by us before we will send any part of it.
Bank charges by the receiving bank on payments to us will be bourne by us. All other charges relating to payment made in a currency other than pounds sterling will be bourne by you.
Deliveries will be made by carrier to the address stipulated on the order. If goods are unable to be delivered to you, and items are returned to us shipping costs will be incurred and only the cost of item will be refunded.
If an item within your order is out of stock, you will be notified and these items will be delivered as soon as they become available. This will result in your order being delivered in instalments and further delivery costs will not be charged to you and they will be bourne by us.
Taxes, Duties and Import Restrictions:
We have no knowledge of, and no responsibility for, the laws in your country of residence. All shipments to the US and Rest of World, and some European destinations may also apply, are likely to be subject to import duties and taxes. These charges are incurred once a shipment reaches its destination and these charges are your responsibility.
Essexee Legs Hosiery is compliant with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 Notice.
There is a “cooling off” period in which to make up your mind if you want the goods or not. This period is seven working days from the receipt of the goods in which you can cancel the contract. You do not have to have a reason to cancel – a simple change of mind is enough, but the items must be returned unopened due to hygiene reasons. We cannot accept returns that are opened for any reason, other than a fault.
You have the right of cancellation. Please contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been despatched we may be able to cancel the process, so please contact us by email as soon as possible, telephone or text us of +44 7852 126010, and you MUST include your name and order number or we cannot deal with your cancellation quickly, and this may result in despatch going ahead, unnecessarily.
If your order has already been despatched or received you must lets us know in writing/via email within 7 working days of delivery being received (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to notify us of your intention to return the goods, we will only accept returns if the item is unopened, due to hygiene reasons.
Original and return postage will be refunded for faulty items, but not for 'change of mind'.
We must receive the returned goods within 7 days of your notification.
If any items are received faulty we are happy to refund or exchange your goods with a replacement or similar item. Please be aware that refunds can take up to 30 days to be processed.
To return the item(s) pack carefully, include copy of invoice received, add a brief note for the reason of return and tell us if you require a refund or replacement, pay the postage costs (use a safe method and obtain a postage receipt, and proof of posting).
Essexee Legs will not be held liable for the loss of any returned items. We recommend that you obtain Proof of Postage and take out adequate parcel insurance to cover against consequential loss by the Post Office.
On receipt we will issue refund or despatch replacement as requested. If the return is because of an error on our part or due to a faulty item we will refund the return postage. We will deliver any replacement items FREE of charge. If the item is a return through your change of mind, original and return postage will NOT be refunded. If you have requested a replacement item and it is no longer in stock we will offer a similar item or offer a refund.
If you notify us of your intention to return goods and these are not returned, you are still liable to us for the cost.
Non-arrival of orders.
Q: My item has not arrived, I think it may have got lost!
A: UK orders: Items are classed by Royal Mail as 'lost in post' after 15 working days (i.e. 3 weeks). Overseas orders: Items are classed by Deutsche Post as 'lost in post' after 20 working days (i.e. 4 weeks).
Please contact your local sorting office, during this period, in case your order is being held there. After this period please contact us and we will offer you 2 options. 1. A replacement item. 2. A full refund. We will then claim losses back from Royal Mail, ensuring our customers have a worry free experience.
We cannot deal with your query until the periods quoted, above, have passed.
